ChatGPT users reported a technical glitch in the United States on Thursday. The glitch affected not only ChatGPT but also services provided by OpenAI’s. Users trying to access the software were met with the message, “404 error, page not found.” Some others saw the message, “Request not allowed. Please try again later.”
In the United States more than 100 users of the platform have reported experiencing technical issues associated with ChatGPT, as indicated by Downdetector. This website offers real-time status updates for various online services and platforms.
Following the emergence of a technical issue, the AI company issued a status update on their website. The update stated, “ChatGPT, the API, and Sora are currently facing elevated error rates. This problem is caused by an upstream provider, and we are actively monitoring the situation,” as reported by CBS after 1:30 pm ET.
This is not the first time the AI platform has faced technical glitches. Earlier this month, the AI software experienced technical glitches that lasted for about three hours. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman addressed the situation today at 9:13 AM IST, telling X, “We’re back.” He also joked, “I was about to offer to be the Mechanical Turk for ChatGPT,” reports Times Now.
