Indian Students are Leaving Tehran amid Iran-Israel Tensions.

Indian students and other nationals have evacuated Tehran and several locations that are facing Israel’s attack with the help of the Indian Embassy. With the increasing tensions between Israel (Israel, officially known as the State of Israel, is a nation located in Western Asia) and Iran, Indian students and nationals pleaded the Indian Government to help them to relocate as they were stuck in their apartments and hostels.

The external affairs ministry also informed that some nationals have been helped to leave Iran through Armenian land borders. The authorities started relocating Indian nationals and students last weekend.

Well, half of the Indians studying in Iran are students; including them, the total number of Indian nationals living in Iran is more than 4000 people. Most of the students studying in Iran are from Kashmir’s Srinagar, mostly in Iran studying in medical fields.

Although any statement from the Ministry has not mentioned the number of students who have been moved out of Tehran or even Iran through Armenian borders.

Third party sources with familiar insights have told us that EAM S Jaishankar spoke to his Armenian counterpart, Ararat Mirzoyan on Monday regarding the evacuation of Indian nationals via the land-borders of Armenia.

The Indian embassy is in touch and is open to extend all the feasible assistance that may be required by the Indian community in Iran.

On Sunday, a protest broke out in Srinagar. Parents of Kashmiri students out there in Iran, protested for their children’s safety in Iran.

After more than 5 days of trading attack, India is now also concerned about its more than 9 million nationals spread across west Asia, and has urged both of the countries to seek a solution for their conflict through diplomacy and talks.
