Forbes 2025 Billionaires List: Prominent business leaders and entrepreneurs have seen their wealth grow significantly, and have significantly increased their net worth through innovative practices and strategic foresight. The changing dynamics of wealth have led to a significant increase in the combined wealth of the world’s 500 richest people, an impressive feat.
Notables billionaries such as Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg and Jensen Huang have contributed to a staggering combined net worth of $10 trillion, the rise of which can be attributed to the value of US technology stocks, which have been instrumental in boosting the wealth of these billionaires.
Prominent figures in the technology sector, such as Larry Ellison, Jeff Bezos, Michael Dell, and Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin, have seen their wealth increase substantially. These eight technology giants alone account for more than $600 billion of the $1.5 trillion rise in the world’s wealthiest individuals, reports the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
Moreover, according to Forbes’ 2025 World’s Billionaires list, the United States leads the way with a record 813 billionaires, followed by China with 473 and India with 200 billionaires.
According to the latest Forbes rankings, Elon Musk has started 2025 on the cusp of wealth, becoming the richest person in the world with a net worth of $433.9 billion. Last year, Musk made headlines as the first person in history to surpass the $400 billion net worth mark, largely due to SpaceX’s staggering $350 billion valuation.
Since December 1, Musk has experienced a staggering $91 billion increase in his net worth, establishing SpaceX as the most valuable private company worldwide. In addition to SpaceX, Musk also leads Tesla, as well as holding stakes in social media platform X, AI company xAI, and tunneling firm The Boring Company.
