Delhi Lieutenant Governor Inaugurates 41 Science Labs At 21 Schools

New Delhi: V K Saxena, Delhi Lieutenant Governor inaugurates 41 Science Labs at 21 Schools renowned by NDMC. These science laboratories comprise advanced infrastructure and resources. The opening ceremony was organised at the school Atal Adarsh Bengali Balika Vidyalaya at Gole Market run by NDMC ( New Delhi Municipal Council). Upon opening the scientific labs, Saxena gave his congratulations to the 6,700 pupils enrolled in the 21 NDMC schools.

New Delhi Municipal Council ( NDMC) stated that Lieutenant Governor hoped these labs will become “crucibles of experimentation and innovation” and becomes a landmark in the educational field not only in the NDMC area but throughout Delhi.

The Lieutenant Governor reiterated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s priority on educating girls, saying that educating girls educates the entire family, which in turn educates society as a whole.

Mr. Saxena also gave emphasis on the extra curriculum activities as it’s crucial for the overall development of the child. At the event, prominent executives including Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar, NDMC Chairman Bhupinder Singh Bhalla, Vice Chairman Satish Upadhyay, Member of Council Kuljeet Singh Chahal, and others were present.

On the occasion, Chief Secretary Kumar step ahead and recommended a few steps to improve the education qualities of the NDMC schools. Hence, to make the students digitally empowered, he called for tablet distribution to every student.

According to the NDMC Chairman, an evaluation is being conducted by NDMC to determine each school’s needs in terms of facilities, staffing, and educational quality. “After receiving the assessment reports, NDMC will fulfill the requirements of schools for qualitative education and better future of its students,” Mr. Bhalla said.

The LG also honored deserving youngsters with diplomas and prizes totaling Rs 10,000 for each student who achieved the highest score in their board exams.
