Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa has announced a new 10-minute delivery service for residents of Gurgaon. Blinkit users will now be able to get ambulance services at their doorstep in just 10 minutes in case of an emergency.
“We are initiating our first step towards solving the problem of providing prompt and reliable ambulance service in our cities. The first five ambulances will be on the road in Gurugram city starting from today. As we expand the service to more cities, you will start seeing the option to book Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulances through the Blinkit app,” the CEO Albinder said in an extensive post on X.
The CEO of Blinkit announced the launch of a unique emergency ambulance service, stating that all ambulances will be equipped with critical life-saving equipment. This equipment will include oxygen cylinders, defibrillators, stretchers, monitors, and essential emergency medications and injections. Each ambulance will be staffed with a trained paramedic and an assistant, in addition to the driver.
How much will it cost?
While Dhindsa did not reveal how much the service would cost, he said “profit is not the target” for the newly launched service. We will provide this service at a reasonable price for our customers while committing to long-term investments aimed at addressing this critical issue. We are scaling up this service cautiously as it is both important and new for us. Our aim is to expand it to all major cities in the next two years,” he said.
