Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar cremated with full honors at Shivaji Park: Nation bids farewell to India’s Nightingale.

Lata Mangeshkar passed away today, February 6, at the age of 92. The legendary singer was cremated with full state honors at the Shivaji Park.

Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar breathed her last today 6th February at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, leaving the whole country in mourning. A sea of ​​fans joined the legendary singer on her last journey from her Pedder Road residence to Shivaji Park, where she was cremated.

Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar’s mortal remains were shifted from her Peddar Road residence to Shivaji Park, where she was cremated. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also attended the funeral.

Among celebrities, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Sachin Tendulkar, among others, were present.

Many celebrities, including Amitabh Bachchan, Shweta Bachchan and Shraddha Kapoor visited Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar house to pay last respects.

Lata di recorded songs in over thirty-six Indian languages and a few foreign languages, though primarily in Hindi, Bengali and Marathi. She received several accolades and honors throughout her career. In 1987 the Dadasaheb Phalke Award was bestowed on her by the Government of India. In 2001, in recognition of her contributions to the nation, she was awarded the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian honour and is only the second female singer, after M. S. Subbulakshmi, to receive this honour. France conferred on her its highest civilian award, Officer of the National Order of the Legion of Honour, in 2007.

She was the recipient of three National Film Awards, 15 Bengal Film Journalists’ Association Awards, four Filmfare Best Female Playback Awards, two Filmfare Special Awards, the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award and many more. In 1974, she became the first Indian to perform at Royal Albert Hall, London.
