CUET-UG Results: Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) will have a ‘normal’ delay in the start of the first semester for undergraduate courses due to the pending results of the Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduates (CUET-UG).
“Due to the delay in CUET results there is a general delay in starting the new semester. We cannot get out of CUET until this is stopped. For the next academic year, we have not had any discussion about exiting CUET,” a JNU spokesperson told the media house.
The CUET UG exam for 2024 was conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in three slots from May 15 to May 29. Originally planned for release on June 30, the results have been postponed due to the NEET UG controversy and allegations of paper leaks.
According to Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh, apart from JNU, Delhi University can also postpone its UG classes till August 16.
Lakhs of students and 261 universities, including institutions like Allahabad University and Banaras Hindu University (BHU), are waiting for CUET-UG 2024 results to start the undergraduate admission process, University Grants Commission (UGC) chief M. Jagadesh said. Kumar has assured the students that NTA is working diligently to declare the results as soon as possible.
