XAT 2023 Registration will start from 10th August; Check Schedule.

XLRI-School of Management on Monday announced that the registration for Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT 2023) will start from August 10. Every year, on behalf of Xavier Associate Management Institute (XAMI), XLRI-Jamshedpur conducts the XAT exam. Candidates will be able to register themselves at xatonline.in, a statement said.

According to XLRI, XAT is one of the oldest and second largest exam for MBA and PGDM admission. The XAT exam will be conducted in more than 80 cities across India and the scores will be valid for admission to XLRI-Jamshedpur and other Xavier Associate Management Institute. Apart from these, the scores are accepted by over 140+ B-schools including XIMB, IMT, IMI, TAPMI, MICA, Great Lakes, GIM among others. XAT 2023 exam date is January 8, 2023 and the exam will be conducted in a single session of 3 hours 10 minutes duration as a computer based test. 

XAT 2023 Eligibility Criteria:

• The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration or equivalent in any discipline from a recognized university
• Students in their final year of bachelor’s degree or awaiting their results are also eligible to apply

XAT Exam Pattern:

XAT is a speed-based test. The exam is conducted in online mode and contains 100 questions to be answered in 180 minutes. The question paper is divided into two parts and there is sectional time limit for each part. In 2022, XLRI re-introduced Essay Writing in XAT. Candidates were given two topics to write a short essay on. The essay was a part of Part 2 of the XAT question paper. However, the essay writing was evaluated during shortlisting of candidates. However in XAT 2023 there will be no essay writing.

Different programmes offered through XAT 2023:

The programmes include Business Management Programme (BM), Human Resource Management Programme (HRM), General Management Programme (GMP), Fellow Programme in Management (FPM), and XLRI-Rutgers Double Masters Programme. Every year around 1 lakh candidates appear for this MBA exam which paves the path to taking admission to PGDM BM and PGDM HRM programmes. 

Meanwhile, the application process for CAT 2022 by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM)-Bangalore has started last week. The computer based admission for IIMs and other top B schools will be held on November 27, 2022. Last year, CAT was conducted by IIM Ahmedabad on 28 November. Interested candidates can apply for the exam at the official website of CAT 2022 – iimcat.ac.in.
