The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will start its Class 10 and Class 12 board exams today (February 15, 2023), which will continue till April 5.
According to an official statement from CBSE, around 38,83,710 students have registered to appear in these examinations.
7,250 centers have been set up across India and in 26 countries abroad to conduct CBSE Class X and XII board exams.
While the Class 10 exams will run for 16 days and end on March 21, the Class 12 exams will run for 36 days and end on April 5.
CBSE has banned the use of Artificial Intelligence based ChatGPT in class 10th and 12th board exams.
According to the instructions issued by the board before the paper, “Mobile, ChatGPT and other electronic items will not be allowed to be carried in the examination hall.”
CBSE officials said that using ChatGPT would amount to using unfair means in the examination.
“Students are not allowed to carry any electronic device inside the exam centre. This includes using the device to access ChatGPT, so that unfair means are not used,” an official said.
