WBJEE 2025 Result: After weeks of judicial tussle and administrative shuffle, the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has postponed the release of WBJEE 2025 results, which were scheduled to be released today. This has given long-pending clarity to over lakhs of engineering and pharmacy aspirants.
According to a media report, the results were delayed once again due to contempt proceedings initiated against the state in the High Court. Justice Kaushik Chanda of the Calcutta High Court reportedly received complaints through emails from merit-listed candidates in the JEMAS-PG (medical postgraduate) exam and the WBJEE board, following which the court took suo motu action.
According to education reports, “The WBJEE 2025 result has been stayed due to fresh contempt proceedings filed after some students approached Justice Kaushik Chanda. The High Court has said that the Supreme Court has not stayed the order passed by the High Court on May 21, 2024, regarding OBC reservation.”
