NEET-UG 2025 Counselling: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the seat matrix for MBBS and BDS admissions under the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) Round 1 counselling. Candidates can check the NEET UG Round 1 seat matrix at mcc.nic.in. This year, MCC is conducting four rounds of online NEET UG counselling for All India Quota seats, including central and deemed universities seats – Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, and a stray vacancy round.
The 12.36 lakh candidates who qualify for NEET UG will compete for 1,15,900 MBBS seats in government, private and other medical colleges across the country. Comparing the total number of medical seats with the number of eligible candidates for admission to MBBS programmes shows that only one in 10 will get a seat in a medical course.
The NEET UG counselling seat matrix for 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) has classified the institutions according to management type out of the total 775 medical colleges offering MBBS across the country. The list includes over 400 government colleges, while 32 private colleges, 13 government (society) colleges, 44 society-run colleges and over 250 trust-run colleges will offer MBBS courses.
