JEE Main 2023 Results: 43 Students Secure 100 Percentile

JEE Main 2023 Results: The results of JEE Main 2023 session 2, announced on Saturday, captured the limelight. As many as 43 students have scored 100 percentile in JEE Main 2023, according to the merit list released by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

Of the 43 students, 11 students are from Telangana, from Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan (5 each), Uttar Pradesh (4), Gujarat and Karnataka (3 each), Delhi and Maharashtra (2 each). From Haryana, Chandigarh, West Bengal, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Bihar, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh have one each.

JEE (Main), apart from being a gateway to BE/B.Tech in NITs and other centrally funded technical institutes, is also the qualifying exam for JEE (Advanced). Only those who clear the cut off will be able to take a chance at doing engineering in IIT. For general category candidates, the cut off for JEE (Advanced) -2023 is 90.77, which was 88.4 in 2022, 87.9 in 2021.

The OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) cut off has also increased to 73.61, while it was 67 in 2022, 68.02 in 2021, and 72.8 in 2020. This time cut off for EWS (Economically Weaker Section) category candidates is 75.62 as compared to last year’s 63.11.

For SC (Scheduled Castes) candidates, this time the cut off is 51.97 as against 43.08 in 2022, 46.8 in 2021, 50.1 in 2020 and 54.01 in 2019. The cut-off for ST (Scheduled Tribes) students this time is 37.23, higher than last year’s 26.7, 34.6. In 2021. In 2020 and 2019 the bar was higher with qualifying scores at 39.06 and 44.3 respectively.

Apart from the drop in the qualifying score for JEE Advanced and the number of candidates securing 100 percentile, the number of registrations for 2022 also recorded a four-year low. This year also a tremendous boom can be seen in this matter.
