International Mathematical Olympiad
India won three gold medals and secured the 7th place among 110 participating nations at the 66th International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) 2025, which was held in Sunshine Coast (a peri-urban region in South East Queensland), Australia.
With a total haul of six medals – three gold medals, two silver medals, and one bronze medal- the Indian team has once again proved its rising strength in the International Mathematical Olympiad in Australia.
This year’s medal-winning team consisted of Kanav Talwar, Adhitya Mangudy and Aarav Gupta, (all three gold medallists), Aadish Jain and Abel George Mathew (silver medal), and Archit Manas (bronze medal).
The team also achieved a record cumulative score of 193 out of 252, the highest score made by India in 35 appearances at the IMO since its debut in 1989.
