BTech Course in Design: The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) will launch a new 4-year undergraduate (UG) BTech Course called BTech in Design starting from the academic year 2025-26. The BTech program in design will be provided by the Department of Design, with the objective of equipping students with a solid foundation in both technical expertise and design thinking, focusing on solving socio-technical challenges.
To be eligible for admission to the BTech in Design program at IIT Delhi, students are required to successfully clear both the JEE-Advanced examination and the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED). If a student clearing one of the two exams will not eligible for admission to the BTech in Design program in IIT Delhi.
Candidates applying for the BTech in Design programme must have completed their Class 12 or equivalent qualifying exam in 2024 or 2025. Subjects required for eligibility include Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM). Additionally, for Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) eligibility, applicants must be born on or after October 1, 2000. Age relaxation of five years is applicable for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories. These eligibility conditions are applicable as per the existing criteria of the respective entrance exams.
