Deepika Padukone on Tuesday shared a post on Instagram. Wishing her dad, a ‘Happy Birthday’, She wrote in her caption that She grew up playing badminton, and she has experienced how much this sport can change one’s life – physically, mentally, and emotionally. She elaborated how they wish to make the upcoming generation healthier, happier and inspired by the sport.
The circular she posted also revealed that PSB has 75 grassroots coaching centers across 18 Indian cities which are-Bengaluru, NCR, Mumbai, Chennai, Jaipur, Pune, Nashik, Mysuru, Panipat, Dehradun, Udaipur, Coimbatore, Sangli, and Surat
It aims to scale to 250 within the next 3 years. While 100 centers by this year’s end.
PSB’s mentor and advisor, Prakash Padukone said that a Sport is and integral part of the process that helps one to grow, it carves discipline, resilience and an ‘ick to win’ mindset that is not limited to just badminton courts. With PSB, both aim to make good quality badminton coaching affordable for the public and set a robust groundwork for the future of Indian Badminton.
As a matter of fact, Deepika was a national-level badminton player herself. Throughout her school years, she used to play badminton and compete in national tournaments representing Karnataka.
In later walks of her life, Deepika Padukone chose modeling and acting as her future career. She is now one of the highest paid actors in India, married and also has a daughter.
