CBSE Class 11 Admissions:
According to media reports, many of the CBSE schools have started the registration process for the class 11 students. The students will be enrolled on a provisional basis and the admissions will be finalized based on the marks obtained in class 10.
The decision to begin the admissions was made after the Class 10 CBSE board exams were cancelled by the board due to the surge in COVID-19 cases. Schools have also started counselling the students in order to help them choose their streams for class 11 as the classes are to begin by the first week of May 2021.
Students to be assessed based on the application of concepts:
The board will be assessing the students based on the application of concepts in ‘real-life or unfamiliar situations’. The questions for the CBSE students will include multiple-choice questions, case-based questions, and course-based integrated questions.
CBSE class 10 Assessment:
The Central Board of Secondary Education will be evaluating the students and will be evaluated based on objective assessment criteria created by the board since the examinations have been cancelled by the board officials.
