IIM Bangalore launches online UG course on Digital Business and Entrepreneurship

The three-year Bachelor of Business Administration in Digital Business and Entrepreneurship (BBA DBE) program integrates digital technology, business management and entrepreneurship to train leaders for a digital business world.

The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM-B) launched an online graduate program in Digital Business and Entrepreneurship. The last date to apply for this program at IIM Bangalore is June 15.

The three-year Bachelor of Business Administration in Digital Business and Entrepreneurship (BBA DBE) program integrates digital technology, business management and entrepreneurship to train leaders for a digital business world.

The course focuses on digital strategies and entrepreneurial practices, offering live sessions, mentorship and practical projects for hands-on experience. The institution aims to start the course with around 1000 students. The program comprises around 60 courses which will be managed by more than 50 faculty members.

The aim of this program is to create equal opportunities for prospective learners from all backgrounds and regions, allowing them to continue their current activities without relocating or disrupting their lives. It is the first program of its kind that combines digital and in-person interaction to build a community and foster professional growth in a dynamic environment.

Although the curriculum is mostly digital, students are still expected to appear for a proctored examination at their respective examination centers.

Professor Hrishikesh T Krishnan, director of IIM Bangalore, said the program is scheduled to start from September 2024. The online graduate program aims to equip students with the skills necessary to develop and execute strategies for businesses in the digital age, while also providing them with the latest knowledge on the latest digital technologies. Identify business opportunities and make strategic decisions that drive business growth.

Our program focuses on practical learning, enabling students to tackle real-world business challenges and develop innovative solutions,” said Krishnan.

Eligibility Criteria:

Having passed certificate of any recognized Class 10, 12th Board or equivalent with minimum 60 per cent marks or equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) in a recognized board examination for General Category and NC-OBC and EWS category candidates. Student.

Meanwhile, 55 per cent marks or equivalent CGPA is the required eligibility criteria for SC, ST and PWD (> = 40% disability) candidates.

This program is currently open only to Indian citizens. Candidates will be selected on the basis of Online Qualifier Test aptitude-based test and their Class 12th  marks.
