The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has activated the choice-locking feature for the NEET UG stray vacancy round, starting from October 25, 2024.
Candidates now have the opportunity to select and prioritize their preferred college choices until 8 AM on October 26. This round is crucial for medical aspirants still looking for placement in Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or BDS programs.
To take part in this stray vacancy round, eligible candidates must register and lock in their choices on the official Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) website: mcc.nic.in.
This is likely the last chance for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) counseling this year, with 1,184 vacant seats available for allocation.
As per the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) Stray Round counseling schedule, the results for seat allotment will be announced on October 29. The allocation process will run from October 26 to October 28. Candidates are advised to wait for the final results and download their allotment letters from the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) website before visiting their assigned colleges or institutions.
It’s important to highlight that if a candidate decides not to accept the seat offered by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), they will face a ban from participating in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) examination in the following session. Additionally, any fees submitted by the candidate will be forfeited.
The stray round results will account for 15% of seats in all government medical and dental colleges, along with 100% of seats in Deemed and Central Universities, ESIC, AFMC, AIIMS, and JIPMER.
For any technical issues, institutions can reach out to the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) at the following numbers: 011-69227413, 69227416, 69227419, and 69227423 from 10 AM to 6 PM.
