IIT-Roorkee Commences Application Process for Executive MBA, Apply Before November 5

Today is the beginning of the application process for the Executive MBA programme at the IIT-Roorkee. The program’s application period will end on November 5. On November 24, the programme will get underway. Apply at coursera.org/degrees/emba-iitr if you are interested.

Although the Executive MBA programme is a two-year curriculum, students have the option of finishing it in five years. It seeks to build analytical proficiency using a technology-centric approach and get insight into the important managerial processes. The degree is created with the applicants’ interests in mind and the course is very customizable.

After going over the principles of business and technology, candidates can select a specialty. After finishing the core courses, they can tailor their certification by selecting from five specialisations, each of which offers more than 55 electives, allowing them to specialise in a particular set of fields that best suits their goals.

The course combines live and recorded lectures with simulations, business case studies, project work, and other active learning techniques. Numerous projects, term papers, simulation exercises, and opportunities for hands-on learning will be available to students. A combination of synchronous and asynchronous lectures, graded tests, and carefully selected learning resources will be used to teach every subject.

Students who enrol in the programme will have exposure to both India and the rest of the world and earn a degree from IIT-Roorkee.

Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (abbreviated IIT-Roorkee) is a technical university located in Roorkee, Uttarakhand, India.

It is the oldest engineering institution in India, and was founded as the College of Civil Engineering in British India in 1847 by the Lieutenant-Governor of the North-Western Provinces, James Thomason, in order to train officers and surveyors employed in the construction of the Ganges Canal. In 1854, after the completion of the canal and Thomason’s death, it was renamed the Thomason College of Civil Engineering by Proby Cautley, the designer and projector of the canal.

It was renamed University of Roorkee in 1949, and again renamed IIT-Roorkee in 2001. The institution has 22 academic departments covering Engineering, Applied Sciences, Humanities & Social Sciences and Management programs with an emphasis on scientific and technological education and research.
