Admission in DU 2022: According to a senior university official, over 11,600 applicants allotted for admission in the first round of Delhi University have been upgraded to the college and program of their choice in the second merit list.
According to DU Registrar Vikas Gupta, 8,133 new applicants have also been given seats in Delhi University colleges.
According to him, out of the 33,739 applicants who submitted applications for seat upgrades, more than 34% were selected for the college and programme of their choice.
Admission for the second round of allocations is taking place now. In September, the DU admissions 2022 began for more than 70,000 seats.
“Out of 33,739 aspirants selected in the first round who had applied for upgradation, 11,649 have been given upgradation to their higher presences of college courses,” Gupta said, as per PTI.
“As many as 8,133 new students have also been allotted seats,” Gupta added.
The second list of seats allocated for undergraduate programmes has been made public by Delhi University. The allocated seats must be accepted by candidates before November 1.
DU’s initial round of seat distribution resulted in admission for up to 59,100 applicants. In Round 1, 15,398 candidates froze their seats.
Delhi University is now accepting students based on their CUET scores rather than their Class 12 grades this year. The university published its admission-cum-allocation policy, the CSAS, on September 12.
The DU admissions 2022 are being carried out through CSAS this year. The three phases candidates need to undertake are application form submission, selecting college and programme preferences, and seat allocation and admission.
